With the holidays around the corner

Hello all....I'm so excited for the holidays this year. We have a lot planned. Apple picking this Sunday, pumpkin patch on the 9th, a spookfest on the 16th and our 2nd Annual Kids Halloween party on the 29th! I'm also shooting a Christmas mini session on Nov. 5th! Here is a little preview of a Thanksgiving card we are sending out to our fertility doctor....we always want her to know how thankful we are for her!

It's been too long

Okay, I'm going to write this to Jax....

Dearest little boy,

I haven't had a chance to update your blog because you keep me very, very busy! We had your 15 month check up and you weigh 22 pounds, 2 ounces and are 31-3/4" long. Your tall and skinny. You got 2 shots, one in your arm that hurt you very bad. I was sad. You have 15 teeth and 1 more about to pop. You like all foods, especially yogurt, fruit and fruit snacks. You eat like a bird. You drink 3-4 glasses of milk every day, and 2-3 glasses of diluted juice. You walk and run, run, run! You are just starting to climb on things, but haven't quite gotten the hang of it yet. You say mama, dada and ball. You know what fruit, milk, and juice mean. You point at everything, hoping we give it to you. You make a mess all over the house, love to play in your play room and are completely obsessed with the roomba. You love the TV, specifically Blues Clues, Jacks Big Music Show, Dora the Explorer and Fresh Beat Band. I read 2 books to you every night, a random one and Your My Little Love Bug. It's your favorite and you grab it for me when I sit down. You occasionally make me cry, only because I look into your eyes and see so much love, innocence, happiness and heart. I love you so much, I don't even comprehend it. I never knew that a feeling like this existed, until I looked into your eyes. I want you to know that these last 15 months have been the best moments in my life. You are so amazing, I know that you will have a wonderful life ahead of you!

Love you mucho,
Mommy

What an amazing year!

Well, what can I say? This has been the best year of our life! Jax now walks, runs, has 8 teeth (popping 4 molars), does So Big, gives Hi 5, eats people food, drinks whole milk, and keeps us on our toes! At his 1 year appointment, Feb 14th, he was 30", weighing 21.4 pounds. On his birthday, Jax, mommy & daddy went to Toy Story 3 on Ice. We had front row and Jax was in heaven. We had lunch at Pepes and then some family & friends came over to sing and eat cake. Jax's big birthday party was yesterday, Feb 19th. We had a carnival party and it was amazing! Popcorn, cotton candy, sno cones, nachos, Italian beef, hot dogs, cookies, cakes, cup cakes and much more. We had carnival games, a face painter & balloon artist. The kids had so much fun. A few people went above and beyond helping out and you guys are the BEST. We are so lucky to have such great, loving people in our life!

Now, let me get sappy. I am so head over heels, makes my heart melt, brings tears of joy, absolutely in love with this little man. He is so wonderful, loving, fun, cuddly and perfect! Dale and I are so lucky to be able to be home with him every day and see all of his amazments! Everyday is a new adventure for Jax and to see his eyes light up when he can do new things is just so wonderful.

Jax,
Thank you for all the love and happiness you have brought into our lives. I don't know if you will ever be able to realize the impact you've made on us. You truly are our dream come true!

XOXO,
Mommy

2 more months and he's 1!!!!

So, we skipped a month...

I'm just going to go over all the fun things Jax has been doing lately.
He army crawls 70% of the time, on all 4's 30% of the time
He moves soooo fast
He is pulling himself up on everything and walks along the ottoman & couch
He speeds around the house in his walker
He babbles all the time
He loves screaming, in a good way...it's so cute
He's still eating his stage 2's, 3 meals a day
He has 8 teeth, and I'm pretty sure he is cutting more
He is in his "big boy" car seat, rear facing
He had his 1st Thanksgiving and his 9 month/Christmas photo shoot

Here are a few recent pictures.

Other than that, everything is great. I wrote Jax a little note for him to keep. I want him to know how much I love him with everything in me. I never understood all the hype, being a mom is the most amazing thing. Not that I didn't think it was amazing, but I just didn't comprehend how amazing it is. Now I know. I look at him and smile, I look at him and cry. The love I have for this little boy is unexplainable. I want to hold him, kiss him, hug him, tickle him all day. I hate being away from him. His smiles, hugs, kisses, and even his bites make every day worth living. Thanks for checking in on us.

My little Boo-berry

Hi All,

Tomorrow is our first annual Kids Halloween bash. We are expecting 50 kids!!! It's going to be so much fun. Can't wait to post pics. Jax is going to be Yoda and I am Princess Leia. Halloween will be a fun busy day as well. I've been Christmas shopping!!!! Figured I need to start early with all the kiddies we have to buy for. I'm so super excited for Jax's 9 month photo shoot & Christmas pictures on November 9th. Our amazing photographer, Gina Cristine Photography, who did his newborn session, will be visiting us for these pictures. She will also be doing his 1 year....which is right around the corner!

Sooooo much fun stuff going on in the daily life of Jax!

Until next time...

8 Months down & as happy as can be

Jax Robert Brown turned 8 months old! This is going by way too fast. I'm so glad that I'm picture crazy, that way I can actually remember what he looked like. He is such a peach, I love him to pieces. He has at least 7 teeth (only because he won't let me look in his mouth to see if there are more, ha), he is in his big boy car seat (rear facing of course), big boy bath seat, and we put the real bumpers back on his bed. On his 8 month birthday, he pulled himself up for the first time on one of his toys! He rolls, army crawls, and is starting to get on all 4's, so I know that will be happening in the next week or so. He's a really good little boy, even though he needs to be held 98% of the day, ha. I don't mind, they are only this little for a short period of time, and I will cuddle with him every chance I get. We went apple picking 2 weeks ago with Timmy, Justyna & Ashley, which was really nice. We are going to Boo at the Zoo this Saturday and Bengston's Pumpkin Patch on Sunday. Then on the 30th, we will be at our 1st Annual Kids Halloween Party!!! Oh, and he is just over 19 pounds.

"My Little Boy"
No amount of gold could ever compare, to the gift of love that my son shares.
I've been blind and I couldn't see that all the love I've wanted is right here in front of me.
He gives reason to get through another day.
Maybe it's how he loves me in his special little way.
And when it gets hard for me to sleep at night....
He wraps his little arms around me and makes things right!
From sweet gentle touches to his bear hugs and a kiss...
He makes this hell on earth seem more like a peaceful bliss.
That great big smile and the twinkle in his eyes....
Every time I look at him it makes me want to cry.
But they're not tears of sorrow; they're tears of pride and joy....
To know that all the love in heaven is wrapped around my little boy.
